About the client

This concept project explores the design of a mobile travel application dedicated to celebrating the cultural richness of African countries.
The app enables users to discover destinations, explore activities and book guided tours led by local experts,  all through a simple, trustworthy and user-friendly interface.

The challenge

The goal was to design an engaging and accessible experience for a multicultural audience with varying digital habits and expectations.

Key design challenges included:

  • building trust early in the experience to encourage bookings

  • simplifying the journey to reduce drop-offs and hesitation

  • ensuring clarity and usability for users from different backgrounds

  • making the interface inclusive, intuitive and mobile-friendly

The entire flow needed to feel welcoming, reliable and effortless — even for first-time travellers or users unfamiliar with digital booking platforms.

Our role and mission

Lorenipsum designed the complete user journey and produced a prototype ready for usability testing and developer handover.
Our mission included:

  • Mapping the full user journey, from discovery to booking, to ensure seamless and predictable navigation

  • Designing bespoke mobile mock-ups aligned with the brand’s cultural vision and storytelling

  • Prototyping the app to test usability, identify friction points and validate the flow before development

  • Integrating inclusive and accessible design principles, making the app usable across cultures, languages and devices
